WELFARE POLICY

VC Venta Welfare Policy

A “welfare policy” is important to help us build a club that encourages and promotes youth cycling as much as it gives adults an opportunity to race or just ride out for some cake.

The point of the welfare role and policy is to ensure that all can participate in the club fairly, equally and enjoyably. It applies to all club members, in all situations – on club rides, racing or just out riding in club kit.

Club weekend rides and training rides don’t have designated ride leaders, so we can all help by encouraging other riders participating on these rides to be mindful of any riders (especially those less experienced, u18s or those with any injury or health needs) and making sure we look after them and don’t allow them to be dropped or left on the side of the road.

If we leave no one behind then we’re looking after each other as much as ourselves for when we need it down the line.

If anyone has any reason to think that they (or others – adult or child, in our cycling club or not) aren’t being treated fairly, safely and decently then please contact s[email protected] and we will address this.
